WHO ARE WE?
We are Emi and Carlos, agronomists and winemakers with nearly 25 years of professional experience in the wine industry. But above all, we are two people deeply connected to the land, the traditions, and the stories that make each place unique. At Aba Solleira, we have combined our knowledge and passion to create a project that not only reflects our journey but also embodies our commitment to Ribeira Sacra.
WHY RIBEIRA SACRA?
Because here lie our roots and our inspiration. This region, with its dramatic slopes and heroic vineyards, is much more than a landscape: it is a land full of life, history, and a future we want to nurture. Ribeira Sacra calls to us to contribute to its sustainability, from respecting the environment to supporting its people in a community facing the challenges of depopulation and aging.
HOW DID ABA SOLLEIRA COME TO LIFE?
Aba Solleira was born from the union of technical expertise and love for this land. It is our tribute to the craft of winemaking, to holistic sustainability, and to authenticity. Ribeira Sacra, with its centuries-old history of heroic viticulture and unmistakable character, inspires us to create wines that capture its essence. Every decision we make, from vineyard to glass, seeks to respect the natural balance, honour its historical and social legacy, and share with the world a piece of this unique region where tradition and authenticity blend in every harvest, as they have since the Middle Ages.
