But above all, we are two people deeply connected to the land, the traditions, and the stories that make each place unique. At Aba Solleira, we have combined our knowledge and passion to create a project that not only reflects our journey but also embodies our commitment to Ribeira Sacra.

WHY RIBEIRA SACRA?
Because here lie our roots and our inspiration. This region, with its dramatic slopes and heroic vineyards, is much more than a landscape: it is a land full of life, history, and a future we want to nurture. Ribeira Sacra calls to us to contribute to its sustainability, from respecting the environment to supporting its people in a community facing the challenges of depopulation and aging.

HOW DID ABA SOLLEIRA COME TO LIFE?
Aba Solleira was born from the union of technical expertise and love for this land. It is our tribute to the craft of winemaking, to holistic sustainability, and to authenticity. Ribeira Sacra, with its centuries-old history of heroic viticulture and unmistakable character, inspires us to create wines that capture its essence. Every decision we make, from vineyard to glass, seeks to respect the natural balance, honour its historical and social legacy, and share with the world a piece of this unique region where tradition and authenticity blend in every harvest, as they have since the Middle Ages.

[/et_pb_text][et_pb_image src=”https://abasolleira.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/bodegas-aba-solleira-carlos-y-emi.jpg” alt=”Carlos y Emi propietarios de Bodegas Aba Solleira” title_text=”bodegas-aba-solleira-carlos-y-emi” _builder_version=”4.27.4″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][/et_pb_image][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section][et_pb_section fb_built=”1″ disabled_on=”on|on|on” _builder_version=”4.27.4″ disabled=”on” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_row _builder_version=”4.16″ max_width=”1280px” custom_margin=”0px|||” custom_margin_last_edited=”off|desktop” custom_padding=”0px|||” use_custom_width=”on” custom_width_px=”1280px” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″ _builder_version=”4.16″ custom_padding=”|||” global_colors_info=”{}” custom_padding__hover=”|||”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.16″ text_line_height=”1.8em” header_font=”||||||||” header_text_align=”center” header_2_text_align=”center” header_3_font=”||||||||” header_3_text_align=”center” header_3_font_size=”39px” header_3_line_height=”1.2em” custom_margin=”|||” custom_padding=”|||” header_3_font_size_tablet=”” header_3_font_size_phone=”” header_3_font_size_last_edited=”on|desktop” global_colors_info=”{}”]

Winery ABA SOLLEIRA D.O. Emilia’s family comes from the highest lands of Ribera Sacra, and we are so in love with the region that we were married in the most famous monastery there, Santo Estevo. After more than 15 years in the wine business, we decided to branch out on our own, and purchased a small winery and 4,000 square meters of vineyards in Ribera Sacra. We produce our own grapes, love taking care of the vineyards, and are passionate about making our very own wine.

HOW WAS ABA SOLLEIRA BORN?

With passion and respect. We aren’t a family rich in wealth, and we didn’t inherit a property nor did we reach out to investors to purchase the most beautiful winery. We used all of our life savings to make our dream come true, which was to one day have our own winery. This is an adventure we have dreamed of millions of times over, and we are passionate to create the most beautiful wine we can possibly make. We honor the history of this sacred land, and its history of winemaking going back to Romans, and even before. Our promise is to respect this land, and the natural environment, to preserve a healthy planet for future generations.

[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section][et_pb_section fb_built=”1″ fullwidth=”on” disabled_on=”on|on|on” _builder_version=”4.27.4″ disabled=”on” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_fullwidth_image src=”https://abasolleira.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/interior-bodega-ribera-sacra.jpg” alt=”Instalaciones de Aba Solleira” title_text=”interior-bodega-ribera-sacra” _builder_version=”4.16″ global_colors_info=”{}”][/et_pb_fullwidth_image][/et_pb_section]

WHERE IS ABA SOLLEIRA?Lugar de Casundila, San Xés nº 60, 32151 A Peroxa, Ourense, SPAIN42°25’52.4″N 7°48’21.4″W WHEN WAS ABA SOLLEIRA FOUNDED?Founded in 2017 WHO ARE WE?We are Emi and Carlos, agronomists and winemakers with nearly 25 years of professional experience in the wine industry.
